Mag donated flashlights to TOP COPS, the National Association of Police
Organizations. The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) is a coalition of
police unions and associations from across the United States that serves to
advance the interests of America's law enforcement officers through
legislative and legal advocacy, political action and education.
Founded in 1978, NAPO is now the strongest unified voice supporting law
enforcement officers in the United States. NAPO represents more than 4,000
police unions and associations, 225,000 sworn law enforcement officers,
11,000 retired officers and more than 100,000 citizens who share a common
dedication to fair and effective crime control and law enforcement.
The Ninth Annual TOP COPS Awards Since NAPO launched the program in 1994,
the TOP COPS Awards® have paid tribute to hundreds of outstanding law
enforcement officers across the country for actions above and beyond the
call of duty. TOP COPS® awardees are nominated by their fellow officers for
outstanding service during the preceding calendar year. An Awards Selection
Committee comprised of national law enforcement representatives chooses one
TOP COPS® case from each state and U.S. territory. The committee ranks the
cases and NAPO welcomes the top ten case winners to New York City for the
awards ceremony.
