My 3-Cell Mini Maglite® LED flashlight suddenly turns off a few moments after I turn it on. It has worked fine until now. What could be the problem?
The likely problem is that the batteries need to be replaced. Traditional incandescent flashlights will dim as the batteries are used. Near the end of battery life, the incandescent flashlight will be very dim and this is an indication that it’s time to change the batteries. The Mini Maglite® LED was designed to be as bright as possible for as long as possible. The electronics in the flashlight will operate the LED near full brightness right until the batteries are depleted. Once the batteries are depleted (light goes off), the light can be turned off for several moments which allow the batteries to recover. When the light is turned back on, the light may stay lit for a few moments or up to several minutes. This is clearly an indication that the batteries need to be changed. In summary: If your Mini Maglite® LED Flashlight suddenly goes from full brightness to dim or no light, then the batteries most likely need to be replaced.

The LED (bulb) has come loose from the flashlight. Can I repair this myself?
No. Although this is very rare, your flashlight needs to be repaired by MAG Warranty. Please contact MAG Warranty at 1-800-283-5562 for instructions on sending your flashlight in for service.

My Mini Maglite® LED flashlight will “flicker” even when I install new batteries. What could cause this?
This can be caused by debris and/or corrosion of the battery contact inside the flashlight A pencil eraser can be used to clean this contact and should restore the flashlight to normal operation. Procedure: Apply the eraser with moderate pressure against the battery contact and rotate the pencil several times in both clockwise and counter clockwise directions. Remove the pencil and wipe the eraser on a clean piece of paper to remove collected debris. Repeat this procedure until the contact is clean. If the corrosion is heavy and cannot be easily removed by this method, then please contact MAG Warranty at 1-800-283-5562 for instructions on sending your flashlight to MAG Instrument Inc. for service.

I do not see debris or corrosion on the battery contact of my flashlight. What else could cause my light to flicker?
The 2 fingers of the tail cap contact can become compressed and make an intermittent connection with the barrel. This is very easy to fix. Using a small tipped item such as an eyeglass repair tool or small screwdriver, apply a small amount of force to the contact forcing the contact fingers to move out. This needs to be done to both fingers.
