ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND
COMPETITION
Mr. Maglica has been a
champion of intellectual
property rights. He has spent
millions of dollars to protect
what the law says is already
his in the form of patents,
trademarks, trade secrets, and
other intellectual property. Mr. Maglica relishes
competition but feels it is
unfair to the consumer when
infringers produce cheap
products with inferior quality
and attempt to pass these off
as the genuine article.
Companies that manufacture
these "knock offs"
don't invest significant
amounts of research
and development, product
engineering, testing and
safety and are usually not around when
the inferior product fails.
The distinctive shapes,
styles and overall appearances
of all Mag Instrument®
Flashlights, and the
circumferential inscriptions
extending around the heads of
all Mag Instrument®
Flashlights, are trademarks of
Mag Instrument, Inc. The
circumferential inscription on
the head of every flashlight
signifies that it is an
original Mag® Flashlight and
part of the Mag® family of
flashlights.
