Machine Maintenance Technician/ CNC and Conventional Machines MAG INSTRUMENT, INC. the highly successful and growing manufacturer of the Mag-lite® flashlight, is looking for high-caliber Machine Builders/Maintenance Technicians for its facility in the southern California. General Requirements • Independently and as a member of a team, you will maintain, troubleshoot and repair CNC and conventional production machines in electromechanical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic areas. The ability to troubleshoot electronics is a plus. • Experience rebuilding ACME Gridley automatic screw machines a plus. • Ability to perform scheduled preventative maintenance. • Strong work ethic. • Sense of urgency, yet organized and logical in solving problems. Specific Requirements • The position requires 5 or more years as a mechanic, with experience on machines including CNC mills, lathes and surface grinders. Experience on Rotary Transfer machines is a plus. • Candidate must be able to read and understand hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic blueprints. Also, the ability to read and understand electrical blue prints is a plus. • Candidate must be capable of using measuring equipment such as dial indicators, height gages, micrometers, etc. Experience with laser alignment systems is a plus. • Excellent communication skills, as well reading, writing and mathematical abilities.
