Machine Builder MAG INSTRUMENT, INC. a successful and growing manufacturer of the Mag-liteฎ flashlight, is looking for Machine Assemblers for its high speed automation department located in Ontario, California. Job Description: Mechanical assembly and debug of custom automatic assembly equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists provided by engineering including: • Mechanical fitting. • Mechanical alterations and additions during debug. • Working with the mechanical and controls engineers during development and debug • Installation and startup. • Complete machine assembly • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Ability to run Toolroom machines including mill, lathe and surface grinder • Ability to use standard measuring equipment (calipers, all types of mics, gage pins, height gage, etc.) • Ability to use laser alignment equipment desirable • Working knowledge of machine control circuits including sensors and PLC’s • Extensive experience with custom automatic assembly machines (synchronous, non-synchronous, continuous motion) • High volume packaging (blister sealing) machines • Experience with high volume machining processes and machines desirable. • Strong mechanical aptitude • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others • Fast yet meticulous and highly accurate • Assist in managing safety objectives and programs to help facilitate the elimination of hazards as well as risks associated with equipment, materials and processes. Education and Experience • Minimum of 7 and preferably 10 years hands-on experience in a high volume manufacturing environment. • Pneumatics/Hydraulics • Wiring/Controls Other requirements: Must be a self starter, take initiative, work well with others and be a team player.
